Check out these weight/power ratios

From the editors of Motor Trend, therefore proceed with proverbial grain of salt:

Notice the "base price" of the Z06? Still a bargain!

The closest thing to it is the Ford GT at a paltry $150,000. To beat it, you'd have to cough up $395,000 for a Saleen S7.

is that real or did u make it in excel?

Price will not be 75k, i bet ya! Wait and see! but, comparing to others on that list, i guess even 75k would not be bad!

i personally will not pay over 70k for c6zo6, but thats me. I will rather wait and buy it 6months used or 1 year used for mid-high 50s.

Just wait and see.

I scanned it straight from the pages of Motor Trend. In the article, they guessimate the price to be $75K to $85K.

Have you noticed how many other people have made the comment they will wait and purchase used? I already have dibs on Zippy's Victory Red! I think these cars are going to hold values better than the typical 8000 copies per year Z06.

Nice post...how many C6 Z06's are they planning to build? Yes I'm one of the "Garage Queen" hunters after they've been out for awhile.

If as some have suggested this car is really an "homologation special" for the ALMS/FIA, then is it possible that this will be a one-year run of enough cars to make the sanctioning bodies happy and then in '07 we'll see a less expensive, 6.3 liter, 3 valve notchback car made in greater nunmbers, meaning this first year's run will be instant collectibles? Hmmmm....

oh, and one more thing. Not sure if you guys caught this or not, but it estimates the Z06 ability to get from 0-100 in the low 7's.

I am not going to believe that until i see it myself, meaning, until i drive the car and time it. Low 7's????? Does anyone have an idea how fast that is? Put it this way, the Enzo does 0-100 in 6.7 secs, a Saleen S7 does it in 7.0, SRT-10 does it in 8.3, and the Murci does it in 8.4. That is approx. a FULL second faster than the SRT-10 and the Murci. I have a hard time believing that the new Z06 will put 10 cars on a Murci and SRT-10 from 0-100. Ok, i will quit rambling, you get my point.
