Amazing - I was mildly upset when the clutch in mu then bone stock 2001 Z06 got stuck, and after having paid $38,000 for the car used, I was thinking "Wow - but I guess for $38K I can't really complain."
Then I saw folks who were paying $50K fo rnew ones suffered the same fate...
Now to think even though the price of the complete car is now over $70,000 it
still suffers from the
same issues... 8 years later (my car is a 2000 build).
I can only imagine ho wunstuck I would come if my new (or used) C6 Z06 displayed the same flaw as my 2001 did.
I would go ballistic if my 2009 ZR1 suffered the same fate - and I am willing to put $50 in the pool that the 2009 ZR1 suffers from the same issues.
This is why I never even considered buying a new Z06 of any year after my experiences with the 01.
Even though "this is what warranties are for" - the problem i show GM tries their level best to side step the issues during the warranty period.
It is a sad testimony of GM as a whole, if the only reliable solution to their own clutch problem is the regimine of fluid changes that Ranger figured out.
Good luck sir, and sorry you ar esuffering the same issues we suffered for years now - one woudl have thought that GM would have stopped using the buying public as test drivers a long time ago
