Competition Mode vs Active Handling/TC

I saw on another forum that with the non Z's that just having Comp Mode on instead of AH/TC adds 12-15 hp. Anybody know anything about this and/or got any dynos to prove it?

I actually had a service rep at a dealership tell me comp mode added horsepower, as well. I just simply didn't believe it.

GM has a torque management system consisting of TC, traction control, and AH, active handling. TC prevents the wheels from spinning as fast as when it is turned off. Mandatory to turn off for racing. AH is to help keep the car from sliding out. I've only felt it when I made a rapid lane change when a car suddenly stopped in front of me. Turning TC it off doesn't add hp, it just doesn't limit what you have already.

There are four positions. 1) Default mode with TC and AH both on. 2) TC off, and AH on. Best for drag racing. AH activates as soon as default mode. Activate by pushing button 1 time. 3) Competition mode with TC off and AH on, but does not activate as soon as mode 2. Allows more sliding on tracks. Activate by pressing button twice within 5 sec. 4) Both TC and AH off. Hold button down for 5 sec. Good track, autocross drivers often use this. Not for general use or on the street IMO, others like it that way.

The post I saw said it opens the thottle valves at 3000 instead of 3500 rpm and give more horsepower essentially.

Additionally, this is what the manual says about competition mode, it says nothing about adding horsepower like my thread asked. Wvphoto, read my post and my question before telling me to read the manual. I read the manual plenty.

Competitive Driving Mode
The driver can select this optional handling mode by
pressing the ACTIVE HANDLING button on the
console two times within a five second time period.
COMPETITIVE DRIVING MODE will be displayed in the
DIC. Competitive Driving Mode allows the driver to
have full control of the rear wheels while the Active
Handling System helps maintain directional control of the
vehicle by selective brake application. The instrument
cluster light will not be on. The Traction Control System
will not be operating. Adjust your driving accordingly.
When you press the ACTIVE HANDLING button again, or
turn the ignition to ACC, the Active Handling and Traction
Control Systems will be on. The TRACTION SYSTEM
AND ACTIVE HANDLING-ON message will be displayed
temporarily in the DIC and a chime will be heard.
