These things happen. A friend took delivery of this new Carrera 4 and he went to start it for the first time at home and nothing--nothing. The dealership towed it off and he got it back 30 days later after a major wiring harness redo.
oh yea, it was fine, wasn't really complaining, just a heads up to watch for,,they took care of it in an hour.... other than that...peeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrfffffffffffffeeeeeecccc ccct!
Back in 99 I bought a new hard top in silver. Loved the car but I had so many problems with the car it was back to Kerbeck more them 12 times. We sold the car after three year and then we got an 03 cobra it was only back to the dealer one time for axle's. I just hope we don't have any problems with our second round of GM products, we get the C6Z in three weeks. (Silver)

Dont count on the C6Z being any better than the C5Z in terms of build quality (my 02 has been less than stellar), except perhaps, the LS7engine, which is built using superior methods and techniques. This means paint issues, cheap window motors that fail, wacky gas guages, improperly set wheel alignments, oil temperature gages that dont work below 30F, etc. Moreover, GM has not done a thing to address the less than quality dealers that sell these cars. The techs at the dealers should have some C6Z specific training to service these cars properly. Checking the dry sump line fittings should be part of the delivery process. In fact, all the suspension bolts, fluids, alignment, etc should be checked by the dealer prior to delivery. In reality, all the dealer does is wash the car and take your money.
I still love these cars, but not GM or GM dealers.
