Just changed stock brakes on the 2009 Z06 to ceramics all around in September. Did this at 23,000 miles. Tremendous reduction in brake dust with no peddle difference. Braking is as good or better.
We did not go in for high end brake pads ....bought a complete set of pads for front and rear from AutoZone for less than $100. We did have our local shop turn the rotors. No squeaks, no squeals. Absolutely delighted.
Re: Has anyone else changed their brakes to ceramics?
Yes, lots of people have made that switch to get rid of brake dust.
Not much difference in performance on the street - But not recommended for track use.

Did the change on my C5 and the C6 no regrets........
Re: Has anyone else changed their brakes to ceramics?
They don't stop as well and are less tolerant of high heat.
I don't know your skill-level, but if you are really pushing your car on the track, you will notice less performance - not what you want when coming to a tight corner at the end of a straight at 140MPH.
Unless you are totally insane, you will never put this much stress on your brakes on the street.

Re: Has anyone else changed their brakes to ceramics?
Can you recommend an alternative brake pad option? I too would like less dust, however I do not want to sacrifice performance. Is this possible? I have heard of Hawk and other brands but just don't know which way to go.
Re: Has anyone else changed their brakes to ceramics?
I would not consider ceramics a sacrifice in performance on the street and they dust waaay less. There are lots of good pads out there. It really depends on what you want to do with the car. A search of the site will pull up lots of brake threads.
