How long?

I started out 21st on a local dealer's list back in September, my order has been at 1100 ever since. Price is MSRP.

I got The Call from my dealer this past Thursday. I went in late the same day and finalized the order; they faxed it in that same afternoon. Loaded Victory Red, everything I wanted was available i. e. nothing on constraint. I'm doing museum delivery.

My questions are:

1. The dealer's guestimate on production is very late March - early April. How long does it take to get an actual tpw?

2. Typically, how long after the order is placed, does it take for production?

3. Once produced, how long before delivery?

Thanks.

EBS

EBS,
I don't know if there is a "typical" answer, but my experience was order on 9/21, born on 11/18, and NCM delivery on 12/5.

I know how you feel. The agony is unbearable. Ordered in July 05. I got the same call from my dealer on 1/14/06. Car was produced on 2/21 (I watched it go through the line and started and drove it off the line myself...uneffing believable). I pick it up, museum delivery, on Wednesday.

Constren:

Is your car on one of the museum cams? Which one?

I've already talked to the factory about going in for the build. I'm waiting for the tpw and VIN to come up to see if I qualify.

Congrats!

Congrats!

Call Kevin Tarrence at the factory and let him know you want to do the "birth tour". I didn't get the email he sent me at 8:00 until 2:00 and he already had the two slots filled for the day. When he gets your VIN and the TPW he will call and give a first come / first serve chance. Don't hesitate and watch your email closely. I missed it but I went up anyway and they got me in, they are truly great people. His number is 270-745-8372 and email ezra.terrance@gm.com. He is extremely busy but tends to respond to emails first thing in the morning. Don't expect a quick response on a phone message but remain vigilant if you are serious about driving your own car off the line and seeing something you'll never see again.....zero on the Odometer....One other thing, they are one time zone over from us here in Florida so judge accordingly.

It wasn't on the museum cam as of yesterday but will probably be on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Red with polished wheels.

Thanks, I'd already been warned to call Kevin ASAP. I talked to him on Friday morning and gave him my order number. It wasn't showing up in the system, but that doesn't surprise me since the dealer didn't get it faxed in until late in the afternoon on Thursday.

I'll check on it again Monday morning. I may shoot an email to him and tell him I'm in regardless. Since I'm self employed I can take off whenever I want to.
