Intake Filter?

I'm trying to run around and find an intake filter (K&N) for my Dad's Z.
I've found them for just the C6, but not the Z06.

Do you think they would fit-- I remember hearing something about every part (minus the trunk latch) are the same.

My dad LOVES his car, And doesn't want to mess with it (Like i've messed with my G35) He loves the idea of added HP, but since it's a lease (that's what the CPA told us to do lol) He wants to keep it stock.

I know he'd love this for christmas, I just want to know if someone has done this, or if this is been brought up before.

I tried searching- no luck.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Intake Filter?

The Zo6 is different from the regular c6. Whole different filter. after much debate on this forum it appears to me that the haltech killer bee is the best air filter for the C6z. Also some guys dyno runs seem to show the best #'s . The K&n would be second.

Re: Intake Filter?

So it's safe to say there's no replacement filter for the z06 readily available...

I'm shocked-- I know KN doesn't make one =\

Re: Intake Filter?

i was refering to the air intake tube and filter setup. Sorry. The haltech and K&n FIPK are bolt ons that you can take off if turning in the car. As far as just the filter in K&N I don't know of one. Give Summit a call to see if they have a listing. Good luck

Re: Intake Filter?

Why does he need a new filter element? They are expensive (order from GM parts) and intended to last a very long time (check the owners manual).

As noted, there are aftermarket intake assemblies available from Halltech, Callaway and (off and on) from K&N, but if he wants to keep it stock, I suggest just leaving it alone.
