Interior Heat Concerns

I'm considering a set of DynaTech SuperMaxx headers, high flow cats and X pipe for my 2006 Z06. I'm sure that I'll be dealing with some additional interior heat from the tunnel. What is your experience with interior heat issues after installing headers? Also, has anyone installed a cool mat and has the cool mat made a difference in the amount of heat transfer into the interior?

Experience, advice and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Re: Interior Heat Concerns

I have Dynamax headers that I had ceramic coated. That and a ceramic coated tunnel plate pretty well take care of any heat problem in my Z track car.

Re: Interior Heat Concerns

Put down a tunnel plate and you will be fine.

Last C 5 and Brian NS:

Thanks for the reply and advice. Where did you purchase your tunnels plates?
