I think I'm the only one without an iPod in the car.

My dealer added a pretty feeble cable to the aux input which I need to plug into my earphone out on my iPod. What did you use, as mine does not work (only get one channel!!)

Re: iPod Mod

I have the Scoshe unit in my car (just google it) it runs about $200 and is a very easy plug in as it simply plugs into the XM tuner in the rear hatch. It should take all of 5 minutes to plug in and then you just run the ipod wire to the glove box. You can select playlists and control the ipod with the radio and steering controls.

I also did the Parrot blue tooth in the Z and can now use my iphone handsfree, also a very nice little add-on.

Yep got that too, but boy was it difficult to train the bluetoothed parrot to pick up the phone......

Got the 3100 unit stick on lower left panel, cannot see it and when it rings it scares the beejeez out of me!

Yes however selecting music on the fly is much easier from the front of the radio on the dash than on a little IPOD screen when you are driving. Different strokes for different folks.

Yes.

The ipod is in my center glove box out of sight, I control it with the nice big stereo buttons, and for those with 07+ cars it will work with your steering wheel controls.

I have the parrot lcd velcro'd on the ashtray door. The pairing was a snap with my iPhone.

hth,

you can control the iPod in a limited way, by switching up or down on songs w the radio controls

to swap between playlists you have to use the iPod but that just takes a few seconds
