Re: Michelin Pilot Super Sports vs Nitto NT05's
My NT05's aged to the point that they no longer could hold much beyond 1/2 throttle in first gear with gradual throttle increase at 20+ mph. I just bought a set of pilot super sports, and now they break loose at around a 2/3rd throttle roll on in first gear, but the weather (California) has been cool, about 65 degrees or so, and most of my trips are short trips.
How warm does it need to be before the tires will hook up in first without spinning (assuming a roll on to full throttle starting at 20+ mph, not a hard launch with the clutch)? The NT05's when new would hold at full throttle during spring / summer / fall time, but I guess I'll have to wait for a warm day here to see if the Super Sports can hold.
