106 Z06's backed up

Can't say from where but supposedly 106 Z06's backed up for NCM delivery, they supposedly do six deliveries a day at the museum (can someone confirm that??) and that doesn't count the coupes and verts.

Sucks to have a car built and sitting here probably for the next several weeks waiting. Glad I haven't paid anything beyond my $1,000. At least the rest is earning some interest.

Thanks for all of your support, and yes our new Silver Z has left the building (the Museum). Museum Delivery was GREAT!

A couple of preliminary impressions. For those who haven't ordered their cars already and who are concerned about the black seats with the red bolsters because you were afraid they are too bright or overwhelming, the combination is gorgeous. This was the one decision we agonized over for months before we ordered the car. Sorry no pict's but the black and red seats are great -- enough color to spice up the interior a little, yet not garish. Second, for those worried about whether this car is docile enough to put around town, commute to work in stop and go traffic, don't worry about that either. The car is docile when you want it to be. The car's suspension is firm, yet not jarringly so. The tire noise from the rear tires can be irritating over certain pavements. It is not the kind of noise that one likes (a deep exhauset growl), but a whinning, irritating noise. Thinking that a few pounds of weight be damned, i.e. I will try first a cargo mat to try and subdue the tire whine and if that is not enough, Dynamat. The steering is very precise, easy to learn. It is not too responsive, i.e., you don't have to correct, then overcorrect, very very easy to steer (even without full concentration). The exhaust is, at idle and lower rpms, quiet -- as many have commented. However, when it gets over 3,500, to quote others before me, the exhaust turns real loud. Whomever previously compared the exhaust over 3,500 rpm to 1960's racing stock cars hit the nail on the head. The car is overall wonderful so far.

Yes, haven't answered the many return threads I am expecting about its power. Will be touring the backroads on Kentucky for the next two days, breaking it in as GM recommends. Then will see. However, everyone I have talked with who has driven it, says it is a wonderful beast! A GREAT, GREAT DAY!

Congrats elegant! Witnessed you driving off on NCM cam. Sweet. Enjoy the ride and "touring" the backroads of Kentucky.
