As best as I could tell the white car was painted white...Mrs Zipster agrees.
That's strange that the inside of the lamps are yellow along with the side mirrors and top. Ya think they are gonna put a crazy paint job on it when it gets to where it's going for a show or some sort of testing?

Zippy, of course you were there to see close up, but maybe the "white one" is covered (except for roof and RVMs for reasons unknown) in plain white cozmaline, which if applied skin tight can look almost like white paint. Maybe that car is scheduled for oversea shipment in an open air oceanic freighter.
Anyway, you can see they are using the traditional "H" pipe in the exhaust, but I can't see any cats up front. Did you?
Thanks for some great pics of a really interesting '06 Z06s!

dsinned: Yes, their are small cats just after the exhaust header. You can see the cats in some of the pics I posted.
They might be in the 2nd thread I started on this topic.
Is it just me or does "the emblem" look better higher up like on the yellow car pics? Someone posted that when these cars are finally in production, the hp rating will be "505". Is that really true? What about torque; still 475ftlbs?
Thanks for the clarification Zip. Have you posted some pics of "your" silver beauty yet? Silver is my favorite color, so how do you like yours?
I was also at the plant last week and I was told one and only one white Z was built for DELPHI..and they were building 3 a day overall but probably for shipment out of states..
If you look at the front pic of yellow Z those driving lites look like the ones for across the water...

Dsinned: Yes, the C6 Z06 is rated 505 hp, not 500. I was at the SAE award banquet when Dave Hill accepted the "Best Engineered Car of 2005," from the SAE. The SAE also announced the new 505 hp rating that day.
Yes, I posted pics of my silver coupe....look at my gallery.
They're there. Look closely. C6's have the CATs tucked up next to the engine block, much further forward than on a C5. Look just left of the blue oil filter.
Here's another pic showing the Z06 side scoop....take a close look and you'll notice the roof and side view mirrors are yellow. I don't know why it's painted that way..but it's quite interesting.
mjustmike: Notice the pre-cut hole in the larger picture of the white Zee? Here is a close up I took.
Not sure what badge will be attached at this posiiton...this is an Export model, which may differ from domestic Zee's.
Zipster
That's for the side marker lamp like on the yellow one. I think.

What a gift!!!!! If this is true... GM is about to reverse on of the greatest mistakes by not offering white in a Z06!!! I know a lot of you out there don't like white but sales numbers don't lie!!!!! White is always in there with black and red as top sellers. My 2002 Z06 is black and is a pain in the you know what to keep.
