Ok, I did it! Fuse pulled

Ok, so I got up the nerve to pull "the" fuse.

First, I think stock, the Z06 is too quite, but I'm used to my
01 that sounds like a NASCAR prepped car.

After I pulled the fuse, it's throatier right away, and more
Base sound inside the cabin, so it's a better sound, but not too loud.

So, it's a GREAT 10 second mod, but it's not a suitable replacement for a cat back and headers. I like that THUNDEROUS sound and am looking forward to hearing it from this 427!

Someone on the CF forum did this and reinstalled the fuse as it was too much.

Isn't there some question about reducing power when the butterflies are always open? I seem to recall these engines requiring back pressure to make the most power.

Charlie,I've heard the same thing, but have run mine with and without the fuse in place and can't discern any difference except in the sound.Anyone else who has done this have an opinion?

Yes. it is very easy. Pull the fuse. Put a clip with a wire attached in each side. Run the wires to where you want them with a 10 amp in line fuse and install the switch.

I'm sure that somewhere there is a small difference.

I just find that making the noise all the time keeps me from trying to exceed the 3500/25% thing. Cold tires, cold roads and wheelspin make things exciting.

There was a post earlier that showed no difference on dyno with or without fuse.
