Paging C6Z owners

It just occurred to me that in my '02 Z, every once in a while the sunlight would hit the HUD just right and I'd see every digit and symbol. With the C6Z I don't recall that ever happening. Has anyone had the "flashlight behind the HUD" syndrome in an '06 Z? Maybe BG fixed it and didn't tell us!

No issues here... it's a little hard to see in the daytime against a bright background, but I don't have the "every digit" syndrome. They buried the actual display real far down into the dash so it's not succeptible to direct sunlight glare, etc.

I have an 03 Hummer and an 05 Hummer, the difference in the electronics including the voice recognition is Nite and Day!
Way better in the 05!
I'm sure they've improved many aspects of the C6Z over the C5. Heck I can't even see my HUD display in my 01Z!

Cheers!

The issue is not fixed because it happened to me this morning. The sunlight was in the perfect (or should we say imperfect) position and it created a vision of the entire assembly, frame and all.

It did have a different look to it vs. my C5Z. The C5's had a screen with fixed points for the illuminated features (kind of like a LED clock) while the C6's have a screen without the fixed points (like a computer screen but with far less resolution).

I think it would be virtually impossible to prevent this though and it was the only time in 6mos for me.

I don't think most of us have had a problem because of the angle of the sun in the winter. I think we will see it just like the old ones when the sun gets higher in the sky.
