Passenger Seat: Power Cable?
Hey guys -
I'll be joining the ranks of Z06 owners in a month or so, when my '07 arrives (counting the days... :-)) I posted this question over on the Corvette Forum, and figured I'd ask here, too...
I know the passenger seat is a manual one. Has anyone pulled it out and happened to look under the carpet? I'm curious to know whether the stock Corvette wiring harness is there. Knowing GM, they used the same wiring harness to save money, and just hid the seat motor plug.
If I'm not mistaken, the passenger seat should have wires running to it: 1 set for the heater (for 2LZ cars) and 1 set for the airbag if so equipped. The driver seat has 3 sets: heater, airbag, and adjustment motors. The question is, is the 3rd wire pair there under the passenger seat?
I ask because I want to replace the Z06's seats with something from Caravaggio. I want to have him prep up a pair of base C6 seats, with the lumbar and bolster adjustments, and add in slots for harness belts. For both driver and passenger sides. I'm certain the base C6 seat will work on the driver side. But I'm not sure about the passenger side.
