Why would you do that? The variable back pressure affects torque and we all know back pressure adjustments often demand other adjustments, too.
This is a really well-engineered and complicated car--it's not a 68 Chevelle. I would suggest back-yard tinkering may not be the best idea. Unless you're a pro, I'd leave it to pros.
Without a comparison of the torque curves before and after opening the valves, this statement is mere speculation, not fact. The fact is, nobody knows what effect this "mod" will have.

I did a pull with fuse in and fuse out on the dyno at Lou's when we were trying different stuff.
No difference.

I picked up my Z yesterday. I don't care for the quiet mode for stock so I pulled the fuze tonight. I'm going to drive without the fuze tomorrow and see what it sounds like.
Believe as someone said, GM used the stealth mode - that fuze is labeled spare both on the fuze block as well as in the manual. I think they knew what they were doing and got it by the feds.

Please post a before and after comparision when pulling the fuse. Thanks Greg

I'll stick with the mild to wild switch. No pulling fuses, just push a button Of course, mine is always on the wild side but it's nice to have the option to tone it down without having to play with the fuses.
