Q about flywheel

I notice the Z seems to have a heavy flywheel as it takes a few seconds to drop RPM

So is there a good lightweight flywheel to use

BTW I plan on doing considerable track work w this car

Re: Q about flywheel

It's part the weight of the flywheel and part in the tune which doesn't allow the engine to drop revs as fast as you'd think. A lightweight flywheel is great for the street and road course, not so great for the drag strip. Fidanza makes a great lightweight flywheel.

Re: Q about flywheel

I'm W/ 6speeder.

Blame it on the way the car is tuned. I did a compare w/ my C5 Z tuning tables and discovered that the C6 Z is set for a much slower idol down.

I changed my C6 profile to look more like the C5 and I'm much happier now.

PS If you ever saw a LS7 apart, you'd think exactly oposite of heavy anything in the rotating assembly. We've got some very, Very nice pieces in our rides with one purpose, go fast and last!

Enjoy!
