Rear Hatch

Went to lift my Hatch last night and it didn't want to stay in the up position. My question, each hydraulic cylinder has a wire coming out of it. Are these cylinders assisted electrically and I suppose there might be a blown fuse. Has anyone had this problem.

I don't think they are electrically assisted. I'm thinking one of the wires is a sensor for the defrost and the other is for the antenae. I'm not sure though.
