I don't know whether you have side airbags or not, but I think all the C6 seats have the seat belt pre-tensioners, which are part of the airbag system.
I recently replaced my C6 Z06 seats with full power seats out of a regular C6. I don't know whether I was being overly cautious, but I made sure I pulled the airbag circuit breaker for about 10 minutes to allow the power to dissipate in the airbag circuitry before unhooking any airbag plugs under the seat.
Again, maybe that's overkill, but I didn't have any problems by doing that.
And yes, the seat belt just unbolts from the bottom of the seat - there's a bolt sticking out of the side of the seat with a nut on it. After unscrewing the four nuts that hold the seat to the floor, lift up the back of the seat (I put a small hunk of board under the seat rails to hold the seat up) and unscrew the nut that holds the seat belt to the seat.
