Rock shield

Anyone come across a rock shield kit for the Z yet?

I like the clear plastic sheets that you apply to the lower sections.
I know on lotus it is called star-sheild

When I finally get mine, I will be driving it about 2000 miles back home and it would be nice to have some protection.

I have been doing a little reaserch on this subject and it seems that anyone can buy 3M's Paint Protection Film and apply it themselves.

Granted, this is not for people that are not mechaicly iclined.

I think I am going to look into getting certified to install it, there are classes avalible and I have plunty of time before I get my car, so maybe I can generate some income in the process.

I had “Clear Bra” installed on the rocker panels up to the bottom of the doors and behind the rear wheels at the dealers (about $400) before taking delivery on my black C5 Z06, haven’t pushed my luck when getting stuck on gravel sections under construction or anything but it has held up very well and not very noticeable unless you look carefully. It supposedly has a hard outer shell with a cushion, and inner shell coated with adhesive. I’d guess it’s about 10 mils thick. After 2 years and 15,000 miles I’ll get it again on the new Z06 when it comes but add leading edges of the front.
