Service TC, AH, ABS...

Hey folks, I have an 08 Z bought new in December, with approx 7000 miles now. A couple of months ago the DIC started showing "Service Traction Control" then Service Active Handling, then Service Antilock Brakes, along with the associated dash lights. Others here have had similar problems.

It turns out that it's a sensor in the left front hub that is not always sending the correct data to the comp. The service tech diagnosed it very quickly and they ordered the hub(sensor integral to hub and not replaceable). I wait for about a month and call the parts dept to find out what's up because I am really tired of seeing the DIC and dash lights go off about 2/3 of the time that I drive it.

The parts guy says that the hubs are on back order. He says that whoever supplied GM with the hubs lost the contract and that GM is looking for a new supplier. Now I can and do drive the Z and pay little attention to my blinking DIC, but it's a little embarrassing to have passengers wondering what's up with my pricey toy, as well as me wondering if AH is really going to work if I need it the next time the demon sits on my shoulder and forces me to go really fast. He is a busy demon. I named him horsepower.

Anybody else have/had this problem with the hub/sensor and Active Handling?

Has anyone heard of the hub supplier contract thing?

Thanks
