Signature of enginer builder?

So, like the Furd Cobra motors. Is there going to be an engine builder signature/name somewhere on the motor, engine compartment, build sheet?

Just thinking we should start a database against the engine builders and see who's building them better (as in more HP/Torque/dyno numbers).

What do you guys/gals think?

I think it's a great idea that he's got here! The results should be really interesting... and if any one person seems to have higher output consistently, they can probably gain quite a bit of notoriety... conversely... if someone is consistently lower, they could become pretty notorious pretty quickly

A name plate, my friend, would probably add another $500. to the price, not to mention the added weight.

Are you serious? Did you not read his post?

The link I pointed to:

They then took a tour of the Wixom facility and mentioned that it would be a hand built race car engine, aluminum, and they said GM had a surprise - each owner can personally come and see their engine be hand built, and that each engine will have a personal tag signed by the individual that assembled that motor.
The above link directly answered one of his questions.

Next time, take the time to read the entire post before posting yourself.

It read to me like a rhetorical question, to re-affirm what we already knew in an interrogative way.

Clearly, the main focus of the post was to see if anyone wanted to database the engine builders and the engine's power figures.

This is still a great idea.

I say keep a record of the yahoo that built it so you can have a person to blame when it either starts sucking oil or throws a rod..
