So What's the Real Price of the New Z06?

All you guys who have put deposits down on a new Z06 ... do you know what the real price will be? Do the guys working at the dealerships know for sure yet?

I'd have a hard time putting a deposit down not knowing the actual cost unless the deposit was refundable.

I see all these threads talking about the cost ... but they all seem to be everyone’s "best guess" ... no real figures.

Its one of those things that "if you have to ask..." I think the car will be in the high $60's or low $70's. I hope its up there a bit to keep it exclusive. Compare it to SRT 10 Vipers that range in the $83 to $88,000 price range or take a look at the porsche 911 Turbo at $130 to $140,000 -- if it truly has the goodies rumored it will be a deal/steal at that price point. Just my 2 cents. I am in the top 3 on the Kerbeck list today and glad I acted early!! Its going to be an incredible car!!

I still think it will be in the $65 to $75k range with the $75k price tag being fully tricked out -- I would think GM would want to price the vehicle competitively -- enough of a discount under Viper to sway some on-the-fence Snake handlers and a premium over C6's for those that want the niche of exclusivity. It will all be well known in a few short weeks -- until then its fun putzing around with the speculation.

Damn it, your probably on the money, as a base price.
After the Motor Trend story reality is begining to set in for the few and myself that have money down on the Z'06.
Fornutaly I have a deal in writing as to the sticker price deal, which is (believe my gut feeling) gonna be fricken hysteria like no other Corvette before, and you can for sure quote me on that.
If your not buying one, which is a good thing if you have a high blood pressure problem, not from driving it, all the hype to follow soon, so kick back and watch the show.
As this Z06 is the most correct street race car ever, and now they gotta tell everybody.
The Motor Trend deal was the first round in this neat cars birth, believe me there will be lots more, stay tuned.

I'll quote you on it, but I sure don't believe it.

January will not help much on the price. No prices will be out until April or May. Unless they change and announce early. Hopefully Dave Hill gives a ballpark figure in a couple of weeks. It is going to seem forever before these bad boys can actually be ordered. I can't put much faith in Motor Trend. Last month they reported that it looked like the new Z06 was going to have a cloth top like the first Vipers. Then they are the only magazine that picked the Porsche over the C6. They also made the 300C the car of the year when they had a new Corvette and a new Mustang out there? Give me a break. I have a subscription to MT, but will let it run out. Tired of their nonsense. I will put my stock in Car & Driver.

For sure a valid argument, but c'mon the facts of seeing what the nuts and bolts to make this Z06?
Really says it all 75K is a optimistic figure.
Do the math over a stock C6.
The engine is 15K.
