About a week ago, I noticed a squeak that seems to be coming from the roof. It squeaks a lot more at slow speeds, <10 mph, than at higher. It squeaks all around, i.e. not just one isolated location, but it seems to be the whole roof. At first I thought it might be the shocks or suspension, but after listening tonight, I believe it is in the roof. Going slow over relatively flat roads I can hear it loud and clear. When going over a speed bump slowly it doesn't seem to happen. I have slightly less than 4k miles on it.
Anybody else having this problem or have heard about it or if GM has issued a tech bulletin/notice? I am taking it to the dealer monday, but if I could narrow the problem down for them or tell them how to fix it, it would help, as it did when you guys told me about the clunk in the rear end. The service manager actually told me if I have any other problems, to bring in the solution from you guys like I did for that problem. Quite a statement for the technical knowledge you guys have. Hopefully it can be fixed before I leave for the Fest.

Funny story. I called GM and was told that my car was included in this recall. They went into the computer and found that it had already been completed. I asked "How could that be when my car's never been back to the dealership?". Guy says "It must have been taken care of when you took it back for a service call". I replied "You didn't hear me. I said my car has NEVER been back to the dealership" At this point, I'm done talking to this moron, so I called my dealership and they confirmed that it HAD NOT been completed. LOL DUH.

thanks to everyone here for your help. I spoke to the service mgr at my dealership, gave him recall # and p/n for kit etc. They have got a repair kit in stock, ordered and picked up for me, and will fix my roof monday. Wouldn't have been in stock if you guys hadn't let me know the scoop.

Just check under the hood... every time a recall service is performed, there is a "campaign" sticker in the engine bay for it which shows the recall number, the date it was performed, and the servicing dealer code.

Nah, I know it wasn't performed. I got my car in the fall of last year, I know it wasn't performed. The point of the story was that GM said it was. How could it be if I never took it to the dealership? Recall came out after the delivery of my car. LONG AFTER. See my point?
Maybe the recall fairies came when I was sleeping. LOL

I'm hear ya Norm... I definitely saw your point.... I was just merely stating that the campaign tag under the hood (if any).

The guy that worked on my car during the last recall did look a little strange come to think of it.

Took my car in to the dealer this am to fix the squeak in the roof. all work was done by 2 pm EXCEPT the service bulletin says NOT to use the same bolts to put back together. GM said they would overnight them out, but we know how that goes.
If bolts are not in tomorrow am (tues) I will have to leave late for the fest. Does anyone know what would happen if the old bolts were used????????? I'm afraid I might miss out on something good if I leave later, i.e wed or thurs depending on the bolts arrival.
