step by step results on modding 08 z06
Big thanks to my friends Nick, Josh, and David at Newtech performance in Hayward. I broke in my new z06 (950 miles) and was ready to baseline it. First stock pull we made 450 hp and 421 ft lbs. He played with it in the tuning and made 465 hp and 428 ft lbs(can't remember tq exactly, it was a long day). We then put on the Vararam intake and MAF housing. We didn't expect to see much because it shows usually at the track but the car made 472hp an d 431 ft lbs. We then put on the ported intake manifold, ported tb and throttle body spacer. The car made 485 hp and 445 ft lbs. The last test we put on the corsa exhaust and nick fine tuned the computer. We worked on it after each pull. The car all said and done made 486 rwhp and 452 ft lbs. We did make slightly higher tq at one point but left the tune so that it wasn't to aggressive. The car drives awesome and basically has nothing substantial done to it. All numbers were on heat soaked pulls and are corrected. We made a total of 23 pulls and was all done in the matter of a few hours. I figured I would post the results for some others who are interested in modding their cars.
