stopped by local CHevy dealer & saw red C6 Z06 and my impression was.....

I know the C6 Z06 is a great performance car...and yes it was a dreary cloudy day..but the red C6 Z06 just didn't wow me.

I think GM should go back to torch red...

For those who bought a C6 Z06 in red I'm sure on a sunny day it must look much better...

Just shoooting the breeze.

I've seen a C6 in TR at the museum. I think GM did the right thing and got rid of it for the C6. My first viewing of a personally owned C6Z was VR. I gazed upon it and for the first time, questioned my color choice of black. It was outstanding.

The car is absolutely gorgeous in VR.

Norman,

I am sure your car is beautiful. It must have been the cloudy day...etc...

Just surprised me it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be...

The dealership was paramus automall up stairs and out on the rear deck...

Maybe it needed to be prepped...etc..

In the photo Norm the car looks stunning!

I dont know if you saw my thread I started the other day, but Wigder Chevrolet in Livingston has a new Z06 in Yellow outside. Cool to see other NJ guys on here as well. I have been a member a long time, but dont post much. I dont have a Z, but my good buddy does, 02 QS. Mike

The black is a personal preference myself.

Silver is what I've got as a screen saver and its a beauty too.

The red was the only color at the dealership at this time.(and it didn't look half as nice as those photos...probaBLY the cloudy day and all)

They had a couple of black ones go through the dealership according to a buddy of mine whose seen it at the dealership.

They also had an orange one there which is not my favorite color either.

I think color is a personal choice..there's no right or wrong ...

I woiuldn't get the red from what I've seen though.

Black or silver...if I were buying which I'm not!

Yellows awesome as long as its on someone elses car. I couldn't live with it.

Awesome car...surpisingly it didn't set me crazy to own one...

I'm sure to drive one is different though.

My '02 was EB. I didn't have the bawls to by the MY. I took a chance this time and my '06 is VY. It's awesome and living with it is nooooo problem. If you like it on someone elses car, you'd like it more on your own (unless you don't like attention). I think the VY generates more head turns than any other Z color just since it stands out so much. It's easy to keep clean as well (vs. black or LB or other darker colors).

Thanks for the insight. VY is very cool. I had a bright yellow 69 convertible firebird with black interior. I loved it. I always look back at yellow sports "type " vehicles and smile.

Still never having owned a black car ever...

That seems to be the direction I'll go in the future purchase...(whenever that is)

Just have to own at least one black car before I die!

All the colors are awesome...and of course its a personal choice.

I'm sure the VR is stunning as shown in Normans photography...I just had two red in a row...saw the VR on a CLOUDY day and it just didn't POP...Didn't hit me as a wow...fwiw..

I had a Torch Red C5 before I ordered a C6Z. I might have gone with V Yellow, except my wife, 2 daughters, and son got to see all the colors before the order was locked in. Daughters are 15 and 21, son is 23. All wanted V Red. I didn't care, and in retrospect they were all right. The yellow is not the best shade of yellow. I have had many yellow vehicles over the last 40 years of car ownership, and my wife currently has an H2 in yellow. Torch Red would be fine with us, but Victory Red is no Slouch!
