Texas Driver Magazine (Jan/Feb Issue) - Corvette Z06 Cover Story by a New Owner
...who also happens to be me...
Sorry guys and girls, I must admit I've been holding out on you a little bit when it comes to giving you my full impressions of the new Z06 here on the forums. I've been writing an article for a major automotive publication and as such I had to limit what I said on the internet about the car. Well, the time has come when I can let the cat out of the bag.
...Print media is a lot like music - if I don't post it here, somebody will scan it and post it. And, as with the discriminating audiophile, I think the discriminating reader will go out and buy the magazine once he or she sees a quality article online. So, in the interest of not being another Metallica... I talked the magazine into letting me post the full article here for your reading pleasure.. if you like the article, go out and buy the magazine and consider getting a subscription. Look for my test drive / review of the new Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe in the
upcoming March/April issue.
And now, without further ado.. here's the article! It should be appearing on newsstands any day now.
Enjoy!

Reason: Pics too big
Congrats on the article....and a curiosity question...your sig says you had a 06 MY Z and you sold it with a 06 Red Z on the way? I love the red Z, but did you have that big of a change of heart to switch to red after the yellow was in the driveway?!?

Once you've had the best color, I figure, it's okay to try another just for variety... Plus I've always wanted to try red, and on a C6 Z06, red is... STRIKING.
I miss my car. Even more now that I just read my article again. Sigh. I wish Steve would get me that red one already... not looking good w/ that polished wheels constraint.... sigh......

Sorry Mike, didn't realize I was breaking the rules.
For anybody that is interested in subscribing and doesn't want to also separately buy this issue (since buying an issue by itself is so much compared to a discounted subscription), PM me for a special referral code to rush your subscription to make sure you get this issue too.
Note: I'm just a freelance writer -- I don't get a penny off the sales of this magazine. I'm just doing this out of my passion for the car and to help out the community.

I think it was a special treat that they let me post the magazine cover and article online this time... mainly they did it as a favor to me because it was my car and my debut article with them. So, yeah.. I doubt I'll be able post it online again w/ the next one.
So, I hope you enjoyed it and if you liked it.. if so, and you want to subscribe, PM me for details on the discount coupon that will get you rushed subscription processing so that the you get this issue as your first issue.
