Z06 brake dust

Does anyone know of good aftermarket brakes or different brake pad material? Once the stock pads wear down, I plan on getting brakes that don't leave my rims covered in brake dust. I only do street driving so there's no need for race performance.

I love my carbotech bobcats single piece front and rear. Basically no dust. Excellent initial bite. When they say "not for track use" what they mean is... NOT FOR TRACK USE!!! You get a good lap followed by ice driving.. But street use, these pads are great so far. No dust, no noise.

Best option is to call the pad makers and ask, if you want the best advice. They don't want to sell you the wrong thing. I've done this twice with carbotech and both times they were right on.

It's a Z06, it's nothing but "race performance"....most pads are going to leave some kind of dust. It's simply something you have to deal with. However, it will keep you cleaning the car regularly....like most Vette/Z06/ZR1 owners do.

Exactly! Especially if it's black.

Re: Z06 brake dust

A base model style semi-metallic pad from any local parts store will produce slightly less than stock.

ceramic, as above stated, will produce far less.

my only question is; if you are not in need of race performance... why the hell would you buy one of the fastest production cars on the planet?
