Awesome. that is right around 520 at the crank. A little tuning and we might see 530 or so.. Biggest obstacle is going to be that damn torque management

These are tables in the PCM that limits the amount of torque at a given rpm. Here is a C5 table to give you an idea what it is. This is engine torque not rwt.

Cool - so that'll be about 360 rwhp for me. When I get my C6Z, I'll finally get to experience what the rest of y'all got with the C5 Z :-/

Hmmm

Wish I could afford the new Z. I'm opting for H/C, headers, short throw shift, tunnel plate, 3:90's and my new intake for a total investment in my '02Z of $45K. I'm still partial to the lines of the C5 even though the C6 style is slowly growing on me. Anyways, 1/2 the cost and I'm sure I can run with the '06.

Best to all!

Ok Fuel question Dealer filled the tank. With what i don't know.

I hope the fuel better be 93 ocatane fuel but it came from the dealer with fuel. I hope that they didn't put 91 or worse yet 87 in it. I didn't hear any knock so I suspect either 91 or 93.
I will check with the dealer tomorrow.

Next, it is not my car. My car comes in either Friday or Monday next week. So if anyone wants my C6 we can do a good deal (down to the wire) and the dealer will do an "in and out" and run it through their books to save me sales tax plus get you financing.

Handling? I don't know. It is firmer than the old Z06 but since I don't own it, I kept it straight and level. I will let you know about the handling when I get my car in here next week.

Ok graph. two runs back to back , Best numbers so far: Best hp 443, best torque 413 see graphs. Air fuel was near 12:1 and a little richer in the early rpms.

More updates tomorrow unless my guys get swamped.

PS,
The car only had 55 miles on it. tomorrow the LG Pro Long Tube headers will go on and new numbers tomorrow.

The PCM is different than the LS2 C6 so we will have to wait for tuning software. I can tell you for sure that the tuning will unleash some hidden power.

We will then install a mild cam that will work without tuning.

The full package when we get tuning should see big numbers with the new LS7 heads. We will be calling our LS7 cams the G7-X series of cams built specifically for this engine.

Stay tuned. Headers tomorrow.

Is this too cool or what.

Living the dream

Thanks
Lou G.

Newbie question: is the LS7 hand built at the factory? I'd be curious to see if it gains power or loses it as mileage is tacked on.
