Hi,
With all the excitemtent going on with a Cam install for the Z06, I just thought I would post up our results from 11-04-05. We did a cam install a month ago, with no tuning and got great numbers. We took the cam out because we have a larger cam going in tomorrow.
The first cam, dubbed our G7X-1 is a very nice cam that can go in with no tuning, although tuning will yield much more. I will keep you posted on the cam going in tomorrow. It should be on the dyno by thursday.
I will get the graph up tomorrow.
Thanks
LG
Here is my post from a month ago if you missed it:
Ok Guys,
I am at SEMA so I was not at the shop for the dyno runs.
I just got an email which just had the numbers in it.
Here they are: C6-Z06 with LG Pro Long Tube Headers and Cam only. The First test cam (G7-X series cams) still using stock springs and still NO TUNE for the PCM. At any rate, the numbers are (drum roll) .................................................. ............
505 rwhp 482 rwtq
I feel that the tune will still yield another 10-15 rwhp. We are waiting for a Beta version to get moving on the tune.
The torque at 2500 rpms is still about 415 rwtq but it goes up to 487 very quickly and the power is at 505 at about 6500. I still have to see the graph and post them up. We will get those up this weekend after I get home.
At least we got over the 500rwhp hump with the 505rwhp result.
Again, this cam uses the stock springs, and it has no tuning. Our intent was to be docile enough to run and idle with no tuning (since we can not tune yet).
I will drive the whimp (just kidding) this weekend. And give you my impressions on Monday. This is more fun than we should be allowed to have.
Thanks
Lou Gigliotti LGM
PS, Made a mistake on the numbers: 505rwhp 482rwtq but the torque at 2500 is 412rwtq which is what we at LG Motorsports want
