New Cam numbers from LGM :)

Hi Guys,

Here are the latest dyno numbers for our latest Cam test. We took the already good cam that we had for the Z06 and changed it up some to come up with the following results.

546.6 rwhp 505.7 rwtq with LG Cam and LG Pro Long Tube headers WITH CATS.

We are working on our Final specs for our G7X-2 cam for the new Z06. And this looks like where we will stop for the X-2 cam. then on to the G7X-3 amd upward.

Of course we are using our LG Pro Long Tube headers which are still the standard of the Corvette market. And these numbers are WITH CATS.

We also use fully welded Merge collectors to avoid air leaks when slip on collectors are welded on. Slip on collectors will leak in the 30% of tubing that can not be welded. This will fool your 02 sensors with air infiltration, so we supply our headers with fully 360 degree welded Merge collectors.

We are still without tuning for a couple more weeks but that should just help to clean up the numbers and help the final results even more.

The graph has before numbers are from our 540rwhp 489rwtq cam. Our goal was to exceed 500 rear wheel torque, and you can see that we did easily. in the process we picked up another 25 ft pounds of rear wheel torque at 2800 rpms and 6 more rwhp.

This is also with the same "air filter mod" which means that the stock filter is removed for now until we get a good Cold Air induction for the Z06.

Also remember that this car dynoed stock at 443rwhp so we are at over a 100 hp gain.

thanks

Lou Gigliotti LGM

Is this still untuned?

Nevermind, reread and saw that it isn't tuned.

Lou,

wow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,100 HP to the wheels.....

i have been hearing the LS7s are gaining more horsepower after 1000 miles,,,,how many miles does this particular car have when the cam and headers were installed and dyno.

thanks,

Still untuned. We expect the tuning within days or short weeks.

The car originally had about 100 miles on it, but it was redynoed with over 1000 miles with the headers only and the power was the same. then we added 3 different cams to date. the first hit 505, with stock valve springs. The second cam hit 540rwhp but only 489rwtq. Then the 3rd cam hit
546rwhp but the Torque went up to 505 rwtq but at 2800 the torque increased a full 25 ft pounds.

Norman,
I am a horsepower "Angel"

By the way, this is still with the stock tune, but the car idles at 650rpms. this is too low, so it is setting a couple of codes. BUT no stalling, no bucking or anything.

These cars should be a pleasure to tune, and we can see another 10+ hp from the tune.

Thanks
Lou G

PS, I had the "Muffler Switch" opened in both graphs.

lou,

I know you can get more. Please give us peak power at 7,000. I'm dying to see this beast turn its hp peak at 7000-7200. I bet there is still another 30-50 hp. I know you can do it. The heads should support the power level. the 346 ls6 was redlining at 6500-6800 and you had the dyno graghs peaking at 6500 at not falling off til the limiter. Just please cam this thing the same way but include our higher rpm limit.
