I want to take a moment to point out a few of the unrivaled products that we at Pfadt Race Engineering build for the Corvette, most of which get lost in the discussion of coilovers.
Our flagship product is our swaybars. Our bars were the first parts that we built for the Corvette and we built them because of the need for a fully adjustable set of swaybars for the Corvette.
Because we are an engineering firm, we have a desire to continue to improve our products. We control every step from to concept to production and have gone though several design iterations of these parts, each being lighter and stronger than the previous generation. We are not some large aftermarket conglomerate that copies the heavy steel production bar and then slap a meaningless “performance part” label on it. We build, test and race these parts on our own cars.
We go so far as to engineer specific endlinks for our Competition ‘Pfatty’ bars. The endlinks are made from alloy steel and feature smaller stronger components that weigh ½ of what the competition sells. They feature a turnbuckle style adjustment for ease of corner weighting and overall adjustment. The very same sway bar kit that we sell on our website is used on Corvettes competing in several professional race series both in the US and abroad.

Our bars are hollow 4130 steel tubing, not some mild steel that has a risk of taking a set and messing up your corner balance. We also use 7000 series aluminum for the arms for maximum strength and light weight. Which is why our package is lighter than the venerable T1 bars – and our bars have adjustability to boot.
Our bars are featured on special cars at
Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch and can be driven in their school as a comparison to the factory Z51 and Z06 packages. Spring Mountain chose our package because it is a stark contrast to the already competent GM performance suspension packages. If you go to their school, be sure to request a drive in a car with our package.
We do not have a one size fits all solution for swaybars on the Corvette. We offer five packages that are good for everything from a street car upgrade to bars that meet specific class requirements.
The unique packages we offer are:
C5/C6 Street Bars
C5/C6 Competition ‘Pfatty’ Bars
C6 Z06 Competition ‘Pfatty’ Bars
C5 Z06/ C6 Z51 ‘SCCA Super Stock’ Bars
C6 Z06 ‘SCCA Super Stock’ Bars
Lest you think all we work on is sway bars, here are brief descriptions of several other products that we have been working on.
We have a full powertrain mount package for the C5 and C6 cars. They are, of course, designed in house and tested on our vehicles. These are designed to reduce the massive powertrain shake (sometimes mistaken as wheel hop) that is common in both C5 and C6 cars. The most unique piece in these sets is the C5 differential/transmission stabilizer bar. It is unique and limits the movement of the differential.

We are also ready to launch our long anticipated spherical bearing kit. This kit replaces all of the control arm bushings (18 total) with mono-ball joints. The key to our kit is that it is installed in your control arms without having to send them out. The kit is actually easier to install than a poly bushing kit. It is the ultimate suspension upgrade for your track car.
We will also be selling individually the sphericals to replace the lower rear shock mount for those that would like to mount their coilovers without the squishy rubber.

Another product we are in the final stages of testing on is our carbon driveline package. It is the most sexy piece in our current racecar. We are testing in the real world and also performing lab analysis. Our biggest issue currently is that we can not find a lab with a large enough torsion machine to break our parts! This driveshaft kit is unique because it eliminates the problematic rubber ‘guibos’. We replace them with titanium drive plates that allow the axial deflection required to provide long carrier bearing life and eliminate torsional flex to firm up the driveline. We top off the kit with all titanium hardware for the ultimate lightweight solution.
Thanks for reading. I wanted to take a minute to remind you why Pfadt is the leader in engineered solutions for your Corvette. In our racing we see opportunities for new and unique products all the time. We then develop and test solutions for those factory shortcomings. We are certainly well known for our coilovers, but there is a lot more to our company than those. Be sure to check out our redesigned website for all of the current news about our company and products that are upcoming. We move fast and have a lot of great products in the pipeline.
Thanks,
