Re: How do you wash your Vette?

I wash mine about three times a year. I put about 7,000 miles per year on mine and the rest of the times it stays in the garage. My Z is black and it shows everything. After each drive I use my Claifornia Mini Duster with light pressure. I wash out the wheels and brakes at least once a month. A couple of times per year I polish with Meguar's polishing compound and follow up with Meguair's yellow wax #26. It has a mirror finish.

Re: How do you wash your Vette?

I just got my Z06, so it's still pretty clean. If I wash it as often as I did the Sky, then we're talking about once every 2-3 weeks or so. Usually after I've driven it to work. There's a lot of road construction in the Columbus area, so dust and bugs are the main culprits.

Between washes, I'll use a product from Meguiar's called Final Inspection that puts a nice, fresh sheen on the finish until I can wash again.

Re: How do you wash your Vette?

Washing a Z is a piece of cake! I also have a 1972 Detomaso Pantera GT5 that will never see water in it's lifetime. These cars are well known to not drain water well, so it just gets a soft wet towel and wax.
