71' StingRay

Just watched Jesse James on 'Monster Garage' turn a 71' Corvette StingRay into a (supposedly) 600hp - 4 wheel drive mug dragger!! Was cool to watch such an endeavor, but hated watchin that vette get hacked up for t.v.!! The infamous Dick Guldstrand was even on the design team in the beginning and made an appearance during the trial run of this beast. He just laughed and shook his head!! It's a cool show, but they better not even think of touchin a Z!!!

I have a hard time believing that they got 600 out of that vette. Still cool though

It is not that hard to get 600hp out of a 454 BB. they came with 500 out of the box plus I think they had laughing gas

Hi Tony, missed it, but I'm sure it's one-of-a-kind. I had a '71 years ago and restored it to original but I'm sure they didn't use the same technics.

I was horrified as I happen to be in the market for just such a ride. However, though it was a one owner 454, nonethless a POS auto
