Do You Give Your Car a Name ?

My gal names her cars. The racing Miata is Charlene. She now also has an '03 Z-06 that we will be racing in SCCA Super Stock Solo racing.

We're not in a hurry. A Name will "appear."

Do you name your cars? Suggestions?

She feels her Z-06 is male ... which unfortunately means she doesn't want to use KittiZ ... a name that shes used in various contexts.

Re: Do You Give Your Car a Name ?

I originally called my 01 Z Zoe, but now she is known as Ornage Krush...

And it is a she, because anything with curves like the C5 Z has to be female.

Curvaceous ... but she's thinking more like a male body builder ... perhaps especially with over sized 295/315 R tires ...

Re: Do You Give Your Car a Name ?

i have mine and i assume that my car z is a male considering the fact that i had its color changed from grey to a little darker. His name is Leeteuk from a korean boy band. anyway just this monday i discovered six drilled holes on the underside of my new corvette. the dealership and general motors says that they do not know how the holes got there. i think that the holes were drilled by the dealership or general motors in order to "fix" a problem with the radio. (holes drilled to access wires) has anyone else discovered holes drilled under theirs?

Yes I did name my car. HER name is Too Much Fun! That would not fit on the plate, so I shortened it to 2MchFun.

Lorene - to the site! BTW -There are keys on your keyboard with the word "shift" and an arrow on them. They are our friends

Re: Do You Give Your Car a Name ?

Still breaking my Z in, but at 300 miles I got on it in 2nd gear. Around 4000 rpms it felt as though "RAGE" came from the engine, so it was named. RAGE!
I kicked around Rogue as well, but rage is definitely what I felt.

This is probably not the thread to ask your question in if you need some answers. Try starting a new thread in the Grandstand section and you may have more luck.

Looks like Daniel is it ... after Karen's dad. She feels the cars personality is a good match and a nice tribute to her father. Sunday is going to be my first SCCA SS Solo race with it ...

Re: Do You Give Your Car a Name ?

... had a nice first race with "Daniel." Came in 3rd, behind the two series leaders, out of nine drivers.
