Explain your usernames - Z06Vette.com

Hey everyone. I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where everyone can explain what they're name means or how they got it.

My usual name for handles and stuff like this is Blueyedspeedemon, but that was too long to register with. So I picked camshaft just because it's a car part, it's easy to remember, and is one of the better sounding car part names. I didn't think something like muffler or oil pan would have sounded as good. Maybe crankshaft. I didn't do any kind of Z06 related name because I don't have a Z06, as I've said before.

If this thread is in the wrong spot or someone else has already done this just give me a quick smack.

with so many members named Mike (me too), I wanted something to differentiate me from them.

i used my real name because i read some posts where some members were zinged for not signing some of their posts expressing varying opinions. i have never been hesitate to express an opinion of to sign my name. the sujimo in my sig stands for 'screw you jack, i'm moving on'. some friends and i would tape that to our cars in the mid sixties. however, back then the 's' as and 'f'.

My dad owned a chain of 13 small restaurants in Pa. called "Buds Redhots" They specialized in hot dogs and root beer. The Co. folded in 1962. Dad was a car guy..So somehow I choose "redhot" for a user name.

I have a fondness for the old muscle cars from the late 60's to early 70's and am proud to own a mint '70 Boss302 Mustang. While I am also proud to own an '02 Z06, they are no where near as rare as the Boss Mustang. All my friends call me 'Boss' due to the car, the name stuck and I use it as my forum name on many sites, inc this one. Many have suggested I change it to something more modern, but naw, thats not me, I am 70Boss302 forever. Sad news is today some collector came to look at my car, loved it and made me an offer thats hard to turn down. Now how can I be 70Boss302 when I no longer have the car? :( Bill

i like to talk alot of shit. i've always included myself in my own shit-talking and when talking in 3rd person about myself i have always referred to myself as "thekid". kinda strange now that i think about it...
