How to get a CD to AUTO OPEN

I know this is WAY off subject but does anyone know how to make a CD Auto open. I have been working on a CD business card that is a little like my Web site. I have the Home page and all of the other pages made. Problem is when I pop the CD into the drive it will not open up up to the Home Page. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not a techy guy and not sure if i'm even asking the right questions.

You mean Autorun. I'd try looking on yahoo, google for "How to autorun CD"

I'm sure someone has a walkthrough on how to do it.

I think its the Autorun.inf file thats on the CD that does the trick

I agree Autorun.inf file points to an executable of some kind. If the system has not been disabled for autoron CD's it will check for that file.. OR if its an audio cd it should auto play (default install most MS operating systems)

Yep. You need to modify the AutoRun.inf and include the executable to launch your HTML.

Should look something like this:

[autorun]
OPEN=shelexec index.htm

Where shelexec is the executable and index.htm is your home page. Autorun should be enabled on most machines just like everyone else mentioned above.

I've included the shelexec.exe if you need it. It will launch your HTM file which should fire up Internet Explorer on any Windows based machine. In fact, you could just copy the statement above, modify it and paste it in.
