How Much Are You Contributing To Your 401K

I am just curious what everyone here that has a 401K is contributing?

wife and i both are putting in 10% next time we can change it. i wouldn't put more than your employer matches, but both of ours will match 50% up to 10% of our contribution. just start putting in 10 and get used to it, before long you just manage doing it that way.

Before I was self employed, I maxed out at 18%. Then I backed out to 16% because the matching was better.

My wife puts in 10% and her company matches up to 3%, so 13% when it is all said and done. This has only been going on for about a year so there is not much in there. Money is elsewhere though. As for my work, I am lucky that I get a paycheck and ins.

6% , 100% employer match. (Nice employer contribution of 6%, less than stellar selection of funds.) Wife similar but employer only matches up to 3%.

6% and the employer matches 3%.

I could contribute more since I am over 50.

as of Jan 1 it went up to 15K per year. I am maxed out there. I don't know what it is supposed to be this year end, but it has gone up 1K each year for the last three.
