If you could race ANY 2-door car in a race against the greaters cars ever built....

So sometimes I would daydream about this...

Suppose someone came to you and said we're going to put you into a street race, through daylight, darkness, storms, anything (Le Mans style) on real roads, across both tight winding backroads, compact city streets, and open concrete expressways, and you can race any 2-door car ever built or tuned. (I only say 2-door to exclude the typical F1 and Lola responses).

WHAT WOULD YOU DRIVE?

AND, what if the question was modified to say only 2-door production cars? And please don't just say the McLaren, try to go with the car you'd love to race, and not just the one you think would win.

For the first one, I think I'd say the C5R. Back when I was younger and hated corvettes (gasp), the C5R was the only one I did really like.

For the production car I'd go with the Black Ferrari F40 (yes, there was one black one made custom by ferrari), because I admired the car since I was little, I love the look, and I loved the spirt in which it was built - pure performance, no luxuries, and no high-tech electrical junk to bog it down.

So what about you?.....

Rich air and clear skies,
Austin

Z06, but with a coilover suspension setup and some higher performance brakes. Doesn't really need anything else.

Murcielago, followed closely by Enzo, followed closely by F50, followed closely by F40, followed closely by Diablo VT, okay I will stop there......

But, there is just something about those Mercs that turn me on like no car has ever turned me on before..... This is even worse then when I was a little bit younger and the countach's came out!!!! Its near insanity!!!!

Ok guys, but it was kind of a two part question. One car that could be an all out race car, and the other to be strictly a production car....

Austin

OK, Austin. In that case, I want a 'production' McLaren F1 'race car'
