I can tell you first hand it's true. I would not spend 1 dime with that co. I have had several customers that have been beat to a pulp by this giant.

Yes Wal-Mart is evil.........blah, blah, blah.
Next time they don't pay enough election campaign contribution they will go the way of IBM, and we will have mamed another huge employer.
I know these people. They are not evil. They are patriotic, genorous people. Wal-Mart gives untold ammounts of money every day to help individuals, organizations and even companies. Sam started with nothing and was pushed around and beaten down by the same companies that are now struggling to keep up.
Why do we always have to punish success? If you don't like Wal-Mart, don't shop there.

I think it's great that Walmart has my best interest in mind
at least after all the phonies get done screwing the middle class
we'll have a place to buy our main food supply of pickles
no need to starve to death while waiting for our third world friends in china to come to our rescue.......jimmy

Walmart is crapo. Get rid of it please. I've never shopped there in my life. I don't need it at all. Bring IBM back instead.

Well like most things in this country, we all have choices, the pickle company did not have to sell their product to WalMart, but greed and the thought of having their product in that many stores drove them to do it. Don't blame WalMart, they are using their leverage (via the number of stores they have) to drive down prices, which for the most part, gets passed on to the consumer.

If its bad business to sell your product through WalMart, then don't do it, no one is making you, but don't blame them when you do sign on, and then you can't make any money doing it. Have your eyes open.

You're an ass. How do you know it's crap if you've never shopped there? I guess it's easier to jump on the band wagon insulting something rather than form an independant opinion based on personal experience. Kinda like being a Democrat.

Shame on you.

That's what this country is all about. Choices. Buy bulk or pay little. Shop WalMart or don't. No one forces anybody to go there. And the fact that they've made a success out of this type of idea is proof that this country works. Why doesn;t somebody open a similar store filled with products ONLY made in the USA?? I'll go there immediately. But it won't ever happen. The only way you can get a store to close is if all the people stop shopping there. Walmart close? Not in this country. Sorry, but everybody wants to feel like they're getting something for nothing (or at least a lower price). Walmart fills the need. Why don't they sell cars??

The article has an excellent point.

We americans demand the best in Health care, The best in Air quality, and the best safety of the entire world. We've legislated ourselves into a place where business CANNOT compete with the world. Walmart is NOT responsible for this. Democrats and bleeding heart liberals who feel that legislating laws to protect idiots from themselves is the right thing to do are.

Walmart is the symptom - NOT the cause. They are simple negotiating for the best price.

Once we realize that trying to legislate morals and ethics and such costs MONEY - we'll start removing these encumbering fees, laws and penalties.

For example - the Apple Mini iPod has a disclaimer stating "Do Not Eat" - WTF? They do that because some jackass will eat one, and then sue the living crap out of apple and win because some jury feels that it's "due". Not because it's right.

A lady wins millions for spilling McDonalds coffee on her lap? Give me a fucking break. She should have be more careful herself!

Try doing business in CA. Just try. The rules and regulations for OSHA and handicapped features is just, well, ridiculous!

Again - Walmart is the symptom not the cause. agreed it's a self fulfilling disease - a feedback loop if you will. But the main cause is it's too damn expensive to do business in the US. Not because of salaries, but because of regulations. Taxes. Lawsuits. Etc..

Just my .02 - sorry if I ranted..

If they start selling cars there won't be any US makers in 5 years or less.
