Which jack from Harbor Freight?

I'm about to purchase the $89.99 version of the aluminium jack as opposed to their $130 version. Only diff. I can tell is that the cheaper one has an OVERALL HEIGHT of 8" and the other one is only 6.1", with saddle heights the same for both. Have you guys had trouble with the taller jack?

I'm going to use the pucks anyhow so I think my jack need not fit underneath the vehicle entirely. My Z is factory lowered. Thanks for any feedback.

The jack you want is the Aluminum Racing Jack

Part# 47246-9VGA US General Aluminum Racing Jack
3000# Capacity, 35.4# weight, $129.99

as an option you can order it in different anaodized colors

as an additional option you can order it in a 4000# Capacity
Part # 2672-5VGA, 199.99

You can also jack from the side ala NASCAR style by using the triangular steel plate just inside of the rocker panel on the tunnel-rocker panel brace. This is located just behind the outside rearview mirror underneath the floor board.
CAUTION: DO NOT let the jack contact the rocker panel fiberglass or the floor board. You will not need jack pucks for this procedure.
This allows 2 side wheels off the ground at a time. Great for changing a tire, bleeding brakes etc.

Additionally jack stands can be placed under the frame rails at the shipping slots located just aft of the front wheels and forward of the rear wheels.

To place 4 jack stands you need to drive the 2nd lift side onto 2x12's for jack clearance on the 2nd side lift.

If lifting the front or rear you need the jacking pucks to spread the load on the Aluminum sub frame jacking points.
However a strategically placed 2x4 will sufice. Additionally you can lift both front and/or rear wheels by placing a longer 2x4 and jacking in the middle.

I've had the $89.99 jack from Harbor Freight ordered for about 3 weeks. Today I called to see where it was and they said it was on Back Order and couldn't tell me when it would be in so I cancelled the order. They had other jacks but ground shipping from California would take longer than I wanted to wait.

I turned around and ordered one from Jeg's for $149.99 and they said I would have it by Tuesday. It's No. 555-80032, aluminum, with a 47" handle, minimum height of 3.5" with a 14" lift and weight 37.7 pounds. It's only a 1.5 ton but lifting one wheel at a time shouldn't tax it too much.

I have this one. I had to bleed it before I used it the first time, so it would work. I think I need to bleed it again because it's not pumping like it should. They give you a little bleeders screw that replaces the regular filler screw. All you do is pump the crap out of it with the bleeder screw in place to get any extra air out.

I just picked up a 3 ton jack combo from Pep Boys today for $99.00. It includes the 3 ton jack.......3 3/4" - 22". 2 of the 3 ton jack stands. 2 wheel chocks and a big kneeling pad. All comes with the combo for under $100!
I'll be trying it out on Sat. for my first oil change.

Is that 2 free tickets for each car? If so, where do I join?

I received my Racing Jack from Jegs today and it is a beauty. Now I can put on my powder coated wheels and new F1 Supercar tires since it is a very low profile jack.
