I was on Corvetteforum 3 weeks ago (not that I go there much) and some guy was looking for someone to talk to that hit 400 rwhp on a Z06 with bolt ons. I immediately thought of silverstatez06.
Being politically correct while trying to provide some info/resource I recommended that he send me a PM and I would tell him where he could find a person that achieved this.
I went back tonight and a window popped up (PM) asking for the info. So, I sent a message silverstateZ06 at Z06vette.com. Well, the message went back with corvetteforum.com inplace of Z06vette.com. Next, I tried Z 0 6 v e t t e . c o m and still corvetteforum.com in its place. finally, I sent a message email me at my regular address and I will send the info.
Now, I understand that these forums are started by their owners to make money. And I don't begrude anyone a dime but the community in total does make the forum.
That was a little too Nazi for me. Now, instead of once every 3-weeks - I WILL NEVER GO TO CORVETTEFORUM AGAIN.
What a bunch of paranoid A-holes

For the record:
I was banned from CF because I replied to a poll asking what other forums their members read.....the poll listed corvette forum twice because when the pollster typed in z06vette, it automatically showed up as "corvette forum" again.
My reply was something like "do you know why corvette forum shows up twice, I do."
I was trying to get the membership curious as to why the poll listed CF twice, and the next morning I could not reply to anything on CF...I was banned.
I bet most of their members still have no idea about how/why no one can type "Z06vette" on CF!
I put a couple of spaces in the name and got it in! I was a little bored, let's see if I get banned.
Maybe this explains why that forum has been boring lately.
I visit that place every once in a while. I really have not got any "warm and fuzzies" from it like I get here. This is home.
I gottas beleive that any place that bans Zippy must have some problems. Zip, you are too much of a gentlemen to be treated like that. I don't really think the moderators over there understand how their action are viewed from our perspective. They seems to be making decisions from the proverbial "ivory tower."

DANG!!!!! I can't believe any forum would ban the Zipster!!!! Tony is the nicest guy on this site!! His corsa's aren't loud enough... But hey, you can't help but like the man!!!
I SECOND that-Tony IS the sweetest, NICEST guy I have ever met.
I have hotel reservations for the Cruise-in IV in May, all my buddies here are going and want me to go, I have to admit I am not as excited this yr as I was last year.
