I just can't understand why they don't resell the cars or part them out or something to generate revenue.. Just seems like such a waste to trash the cars when there are so many social programs which need funding.

That would make way too much sense!

I think they were just making an example of these 2. Hopefully they would have sense enough to sell them to someone in Japan
There are counties in the U.S. where you lose your car if you are going very fast (say 120+).

Just when you think they can't get any stupider, they keep talking.

But it was only two old Honda's. I think crushing them was a good thing.

I am for confiscating the cars of street racers. If they get a new C6, I should hope they would sell it to raise revenue.

Dumb kids are killing innocent victims because they can't drive, they feel that track racing is for pussy's, while racing on the street makes them cool.
I vote yes for the police on this one.

I was coming back from the local weekend car show yesterday, and was at the on ramp stop sign with a new Audi RS4. Cool guy, said he owned a Z06 before but had to give it up for a 4 seater due to kids. Car sounded amazing. Anway, we both gave it some schtick getting onto the freeway (up to about 70, not even exceeding the speed limit).......and a CHP guy on a bike was RIGHT frigging behind us. I had visions of losing the car going through my head.....cop pulls up along side, grins at us, and takes off.
Cool police officers.

I would think now that if caught racing - there would be more people trying to flee the police instead of pulling over.
They would be foolish to think they can outrun a police radio.

There is "No Doubt" that the press are incompetent imbeciles. There is very little real journalism but a lot of tabloid writers (mostly fiction or poorly researched comments).
