Nissan 350Z

What do you guys think of it. Certainly not a Z06 performer but all in all what do you think.

Decent all-around vehicle . .
Funky interior . .
Unreasonable cost w/ Dealer markup . .

If I were seriously interested, I'd look at the G35 Coupe first . . after all, it's the same basic car.

From a performance standpoint tho, it's absolutely not a Z06 performer -- I've found a few on the roads around here who wanted to play . . . from a 40 roll to ~90-100, there's typically a few carlengths.

350Z is not a direct Z06 competitior and definitely not in the Z06 category.

Nevertheless, this is one hell of a sweet car. I like it. Of course I like Corvette too.

If Nissan increases the horsepower by 25-35HP in this car in the next few years, and later on adds a turbo (or a twin turbo), it will provide good competition to the Vette.

Hopefully, by that time Vette will move even furhter and C6 will be out.

A friend writes for Sports Car, and brought one out to a Sacramento SCCA event, An it did well (very well) in the street tire class. My short drive: Not the punch of a Z06 But in the right hands at an Auto X, or tight Mt. Road, you could be humbled

I agree... the Infinity G35 is a sweet car. Trying to talk my wife into getting one.

Buddy of mine at work picked one up about a week & 1/2 ago . . . directly because of the dealer markup and interior w/ the 350Z.

If I were in the market . . . It's probably what I'd get.

Yes there is - and I had an interest in one - until I found out (in Houston at least) dealers are jacking the price of the Track Edition up by $5,000.

At $40,000 the 350Z Track Edition is for those with $40,000 to burn. IMHO

Dealers around this part are selling at MSRP but there is a waiting list.

Looked at one in Daytona Blue, I kinda liked it. But is NOT a Z06

Leave it to Nissan. Take a famed nameplate, build less car than its predecessor, and then go hype it all up.

No thanks!
