No Fest for me.

Just found out my dog might have cancer. She has surgery to remove a tumor Monday, and I'll be praying its not. So another year, another missed Fest, but its not the Fest I'll be losing sleep over. Have fun and have one for me

MikeyB,
Hope all works out for the best with your buddy. I could be wrong but that appears to be a Akita from the picture. They are great dogs, my brother has a female that is almost a twin of yours, add about 30 pounds though. If it wasn't so darn hot here in South East Texas I would have an Akita pal as well.
Good luck,
Chris

Coco is half Akita and German Sheppard. She has a sister who is full blood Akita. They are such wonderful dogs, but Coco is just unbelievably human. Everyone that knows her, including her Vet's who see dogs all day long, says that she is the sweetest dog they have ever known.

Thanks for the wishes! I'll have lab results hopefully before next weekend, but until then she'll be in the hands of a Canine cancer center in Columbus, Ohio. My fingers crossed, it's already been a rough year as I lost my father to cancer last March.

Kinda wondered if she was part GS...she looked a little slim for a full Akita and the ears are a bit larger, but she is georgous regardless. Again...hope all goes well.
