Portland ALMS...looks like Vettes are 1,2, and 3

The Portland race is just about over and it looks like the C6R is going to take 1 and 2 with a C5R taking number 3. Man...these cars are almost unstoppable!

Race is over...the Corvette C6R team did it again and won first and second in the GT1 class. A private C5R team pulled off a third place finish in the GT1 class!

I just got back from the Portland.I watched the whole race live and have film.I got some good pics of the cars,I'll post later. The C6Rs had a good race. Some competition at first from the Saleen and the Mazerati, but the S7 ran into debris on the track and the Mazerati was too inconsistent.
I was surprised on how much slower the C5R was,but that, probably had a lo to do with the drivers. It's hard to top Ron Fellows and the boys.As usual,it ran consistently and finished third.
JJ Lehto should try Nascar,he spun going into turn 1 and crunched the #4 Corvettes rear quarter panel. Then 1/2 a lap into green he spins on the back straight and leaves Audi parts everywhere, taking out the Saleen.THEN,his partner literally pushes the Dyson cars off the track to pass. Can't beat em,crash em must be Audis motto.
I met all the drivers and got autographs, met Lou Gigilotti and got a pic with him and his new Z06.I won a ride in the pace car in a raffle and got to do a hot lap in a C6. There was a big GM display with a new Z06 in RED.
Now I REALLY want one.
If ever you get the chance to see an ALMS race live,GO.I got baked in the sun and had the time of my life.I was in Corvette heaven.
