I also saw that vid a while back, but find it hard that a 900hp Viper can only beat the stock busa. He gets beat pretty decent by the one with the air box and exhaust. What's weird is that you never see the car getting squirrelly. With that much power he should be all over the road, unless he was running on slicks.
What makes the situation even worse for the car is the fact that they were racing from a 50-75 mph roll. This takes away one of the greatest advantages of the bikes, ridiculous 0-60 times (like 3 seconds or under). Over 75 mph, the lousy aerodynamics of motorcycles really start to hurt, not that it seemed to matter in any of the races in the vid.

Are you guys serious? I don't care what speeds we're talking, a car running with a stock Hayabusa is incredible. I've had a number of sport bikes and I can tell you that ten second cars cannot come close to running with the new big bore sportbikes. Give the guy his due props!

I may be wrong, but I think that motorcycles have much lower TOTAL drag than cars. Their Cd may be higher, but with much less total frontal area, the overall drag is lower. Just another example of comparing apples to oranges.

I talked to Peter Blach about this video who has a 1100rwhp Supra and is very well known. He has raced busas in the past and commented that with just 700rwhp he was spanking a stock BUSA pretty bad... much worse than that "900rwhp" viper. Also I'm sure you've all seen Walser's Supra which makes around the 800rwhp range completely ditch that Stock busa too. That viper looked way too stable for "900rwhp" I have the video from this years SCC ultimate street car challenge and the viper that actually put down mid 800rwhp was completely out of control on the drag strip running on 335 Hoosier road race tires. Would tottaly go sideways pretty much down the entire track.

I am not saying that my car is faster or that I could beat any of those bikes. I thought the car was fast. Did you watch the speedo on the bike. That thing flew up to 170+MPH. But one thing I know is that if I punch my car from 45MPH it will break loose. Even at 75 it could break loose. I have not yet been able to race a bike yet. I know I will not want to race them from a stop though. Let me just say no matter how much power that viper has, I thought it was a very nice car. I always love to see newer sports cars/exotic car heavily modded.
I have raced some bikes. One time I went with a GSX-R 1000 and ran with him from 60 to about 150. He was ahead of me but not by much. I just ran a Ninja on Tuesday and beat him to about 140. He couldn't keep up.He had taken all the badges off, so I didn't know what size it was. I know bikes are very fast if you run them in a quarter mile, but it's different from a roll on. Also, someone made the point that the car was way to stable for being that powerful. I have a friend with a twin turbo Z06 that makes about 490rwhp and it'll get loose till about 80 mph. You don't even see the back end of the Viper move once, which I find a little weird with a 1000hp Viper.
I would love to race a bike on the highway upto around 140 to see how I do. I get what everyone is saying about it being so stable. I dont know maybe he eased on the gas at first, I dont know. But no matter what I dont think I would want to meet that car on the street anytime soon.
