Any of you Texas folks follow Sam Houston State? They are a 1AA team, a NCAA Division that determines the National Championship the right way, a sudden death tournament. They are comming to town to get schooled by the Montana Grizzlys.
That smell is actually toasted Bearkat...
Hey Don, Texas should win the Rose Bowl! They play Michigan, not USC!?! My young Buckeyes took it to the Wolverines in their showdown... Cal sure got cheated on this one, but BCS needs some more changes. JW should be happy.

Whoops...my bad. I thought USC was going to the Rose Bowl. I guess if the Longhorns are playing Michigan, then the out come will be a happy one for the Texans.
Yeah, The BCS does need one simple change, an eight team torunament to decide the champion on the field.
The big complaint about the use of a tourney to decide the champion is that it would ruin the bowl system. That is a bunch of bull, if you are in the top 8 teams at the end of the year then you get to play in the tourney, if you are not, you are eldigible for a bowl. there are so many menaingless bowl games already, there should be no "damage" done by a tournament to determine the national champion. Bowl teams would still get their money, and the tourney teams would get money based on how far in the tourney they go.
simple enough, so why doesn't the NCAA pull its head out of its A$$ and make this happen...

Yes, everyone agrees Cal got screwed, just like Texas did last year. Texas AND Cal should be playing in BCS bowls. My answer to the fix: Require a minimum loss total like you have now just to be bowl eligible. I say 3 or more losses, regardless if you're a conference champ, does not get you into a BCS bowl. And either make all conferences play a championship game, or nobody plays one.
Also, even though this hurts Texas, they should do away with pre-season polls. VT wasn't even ranked, and Auburn had to crawl so far back they never really had a chance, but both deservingly made it to BCS bowls.
A playoff will never happen because the University Presidents and chancellors have their head too far up their asses, and only care about the $$$. They seem to think a playoff will damage the "tradition" of college football. While it is a privilege to play in the Rose bowl, bowl tradition has been hammered since the conception of the BCS. I bet NCAA basketball is glad it doesn't have any so-called "tradition".
Hook'm horns!...I'm definitely going anybody? rolling out here to So cal for the game. Let me know. Miss my school =( Graduated there in 99
I'm trying to get tickets right now. Everybody seems sold out, and I won't pay scalper prices. Looks like I'll be watching it on my 65" HDTV, not a bad alternative.
