So I went to the Chevy dealer today.......

And tried to pick up some touch up paint for my car. The idiot at the parts counter had never heard of Electron Blue and since I didn't have the part number handy, I was SOL. No wonder why GM is going down the tubes.

I ran a site search and came up with this code. I just want to confirm that this is correct.

Electron Blue WA-779J

Any recommendations on how to bypass my dealer and order this touch up online? GMPartsdirect? Again, I want to be sure that I'm ordering the correct thing. I don't think that GMPartsdirect is very good with handling returns.

Electron Blue WA-779J is correct
The problem with GM parts direct is the shipping will cost more than the paint.

Any good auto paint supply store can match that paint easy.

Not all dealers are incompetent, I ordered my EB touch-up
paint and it showed up at the dealer the next day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sticking up for dealers in general, but I think you just need to get to know the parts guys and the service writers at your local dealer better, and oh yeah, take the vette tech out to lunch a time or two, and you'll be amazed on how much better you and your vette are treated when it comes time for warranty work. LOL

You wanna really blow their minds, walk in and tell them you want a trans mount for an F-body and watch the look on their faces when you tell 'em you are gonna put it on a Mustang.

The look on the guys face was priceless..........
