So much great food, beer, and wine that I never got around to shopping for car stuff
Alcatraz is cool. Ride the streetcar. Drive down Lombard street. Muir woods (big trees). Sausilito is a cool little town with great views of SF from across the bay. Of course Napa Valley is awesome if you like wine. Great town. Have fun.

Go visit the double decker highway that collapsed in the earth quake some years ago and take a couple of pics to post. I don't know what highway it is since I am not from SF, and I hate to sound morbid, its just that large construction really amazes me. I just want to see what they have done with that road.
What road is that..? someone help me out here.

It was the Nimitz freeway, over in oakland. I used to drive that every day to work. Its since been rebuilt to not be double decker, but I was still nervous driving on it.

Yep, and I drove up and down that road at least 50 times 4 days before the quake. I was on the USS Enterprise, and we left on a major deployment right b4 the quake. And the majority of the ship's crew lived right in that area.... lotsa nervous people.
